Universal Design Studio
Richard joined Universal in 2004 and was made an Associate in 2011. Richard provides creative and technical lead on many projects in the studio, across cultural, retail, workplace and hospitality, including a diverse range of award-winning and widely published projects for clients such as Ace Hotel London, Frieze Art Fair, Mulberry, Jimmy Choo, Fortnum and Mason, H&M, The Science Museum, The Natural History Museum and the V&A. Richard has over 13 years experience and has completed projects in the US, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Europe and the UK.
Design excellence is the ability to create an emotional and physical attachment to a space, a brand or an experience. A truly excellent design communicates deftly, with minimum means, something more than can be either written or visually highlighted, something that can be lived with, experienced and remembered.
